I had so much fun making my first Skyrim comic that I chose to bring my decidedly evil character back for another. I have no idea why my inclinations in a game are to be incredibly evil, but it’s probably because I’m almost too perfect in person. I’ve never even killed anyone.
I was inspired by Josh Bauman’s interpretation of the comic in the second frame - I had never thought to use a silhouette frame before that, but it’s a nice way to break up the back-forth nature of the conversation.
The part that got me was capturing the expression I was going for in the last frame. I redrew Carlotta quite a lot before I got it right, and had to draw a very terrified person before I actually figured out the direction I had to take it.
Coloring was a challenge, not because I did anything unusual artistically but because I decided it might be fun to draw outside while Dana brewed beer. The temperature wasn’t so bad (actually it was terrible, like 40F or something) but the windchill was rough. I toughed it out for three hours before I left. Hopefully my relentlessly positive energy contributed to what would have undoubtedly already been a wonderful beer.
